GECOVA
Centro de Monitorización y Control Remoto: Información enriquecida desde la infraestructura
PDC2025-165871-C32
Pruebas de Concepto 2025
The GECOVA project seeks to implement an intelligent monitoring, management and remote guidance centre for highly automated vehicle fleets (SAE Level 4) in restricted environments. Its main goal is to extend the Operational Design Domain (ODD) by processing contextual information from the infrastructure, which reduces risks and direct human interventions.
Coordinated by the UPM (control and communications post), the project integrates the work of the UC3M (LiDAR sensor network and artificial vision), the UEM (Big Data and decision-making algorithms) and the UCM (usability and ergonomics evaluation).
Project Keys:
- Validation in a real environment: It will evolve from a TRL 4 to TRL 7 level with demonstrations on the UC3M campus in Leganés.
- Advanced communications: Use of redundant architectures with V2X, Wi-Fi 5/6 and 5G SA.
- Industrial application: Support from EMT Madrid, FCC and SODEXO for use in depots, logistics areas and urban services.
GECOVA will promote technology transfer to achieve safer, more efficient and accessible autonomous mobility.
