Integration of the BOB robot into Gazebo and its testing in real scenarios

2020-2021

The research project is related to the fields of Robotics and Computer Vision and, more specifically, to the development of advanced perception algorithms so that a robot is able, by itself, to move moves in a supermarket while auditing the shelves scanning the products and collecting details of available products and their location, as well as missing products.
The system to be implemented will be incorporated into the BOB platform developed by the company Superobotics, it will be based on open-source libraries under the Linux operating system and the ROS (Robot Operating System) architecture. The integration of the robot BOB into Gazebo will help to simulate several modules of the software architecture. So, a virtual environment will be designed in Gazebo representing a supermarket in which the BOB robot will be integrated.
